GILEAD CEMETERY WEST OF DEXTER. HE MARRIED ELIZ JANE BARNETT ABOUT 1858 IN GEORGIA. SHE WAS BORN 20 JULY 1840 AND DIED 7 JUNE 1922 AND IS ALSO BURIED IN MY. GILEAD CEMETERY. THEY WERE LIVING IN 1860 IN NEWTON COUNTY GEORGIA WITH THEIR INFANT DAUGHTERS FRANCES ALICE AND IDA. THE FAMILY MIGRATED FROM GEORGIA TO COOKE COUNTY TX BETWEEN 1870 AND 1873. THESE ARE THEIR HEIRS FROM 1905 DEED IN WHICH ELIZ, HIS WIDOW, SOLD THE FAMILY LAND TO THEIR YOUNGEST CHILD EMMA AND HER HUBAND T. G. LEWTER. I HAVE NO IDEA WHO THE PARENTS OF WILLIAM DAVID GREER OR HIS WIFE ELIZ JANE BARNETT WERE OR WHERE IN GEORGIA THEY CAME FROM. SOME RESEARCHES THINK WILLIAM IS THE SON OF AQUILLA GREE OF GEORGIA.

She last appears in the 1915 City Directory for Gainesville. Lucie's mother, Hannah Joanna ALLEN, died in Gainesville 9 Nov 1923. Supposedly she is buried in Fairview Cemetery. If anyone has access to the local paper, I'd love an obit for her. Does anyone know anything about these families???
