At the time of his death Francis was working for the Rock Island Railroad in Shawnee, Oklahoma, and Dalhart, Texas. He was having problems in Dalhart, Hartley/Dallam County, Texas with a man over Francis' wife, Mary Enfield RENEGAR.
According to an affidavit by Francis this man swore to kill Francis. Francis was murdered about 7 Oct 1921. He could have been murdered in Dalhart, Texas, as his wife was living there. Her name was Mary ENFIELD. She married Francis Gould RENEGAR in about 1918, and probably in Dalhart. They had one child together, Mary Elizabeth, b. abt 1919. Gould's body could have been brought back from Texas to his home in Shawnee, Oklahoma, for burial, or he could have been killed in Texas.
Can anyone help me learn more about what happened to Francis Gould RENEGAR? There should have been a write-up in the News Paper about the Murder - even if Francis was murdered in Texas. Any help would be deeply appreciated. Thank you.
I would like to obtain obituary copies for the following people:
Lawrence HESSE
b. Dec. 1887
d. 1948 in Dalhart (exact date of death unknown)
buried in Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart, Dallam County, TX
Hedwig Thersa Essler HESSE
b. Feb. 28, 1896
d. June 23, 1980 in Dalhart
buried in Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart, Dallam County, TX
If I am able to obtain an obituary, especially on Lawrence Hesse, I would have his exact death date and funeral service information. And would you know of anyone who would be willing to visit Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart for me. I would dearly love to obtain pictures of their gravestones, which would also confirm the death date of Lawrence. I will gladly pay for this service if someone can be found who can help me.
Any assistance or information you can give me
in regards to the above would be deeply appreciated.
