We whose names are written below for the purpose of the worship of God,
mutual strength and comfort....believing the doctrines and government of
the Cumberland Presbyterian Church to be in according to the Scriptures....being
in the bounds of the Red Oak Presbytery, we agree to become a part of said
Presbytery according to the regulations and rules of said church.

"....the following were elected as ruling Elders of said congregation:
R. F. Mayfield, J. P. Paul and A. S. Parker.....Bro. A. S. Parker was chosen
as clerk and Rev. R. M. White chosen as pastor ....it was proposed that Bro.
White supply said Church with preaching once a month for the next Presbyterian
year agreeing to pay him seventy-five dollars for his ministerial
service....accepted by Bro. White."
"In the following only the dates, names of members admitted, discharged
members and officers of the Session are recorded.
Jan. 16, 1881. R. M. White, Mod., Elders J. P. Paul, A. S. Parker and
R. F. Mayfield. Applied for membership: Bro John Patton, Mrs. E. M.
Patton, their children, E. J. Patton and A. H. Patton, also E. C. Curry.
Jan. 17, 1881. Members received by letter: M. J. Sandeford, W. S.
Sandford, A. Madera McCleland. Chosen as Deacons: Bros. C. W. Berry,
Marion Powers and Thomas Mayfield.
Feb. 20, 1881. Received by transfer: Bro. Wm. Duvall and wife from
Liberty Congregation and Mary Rinehardt from Antioch Church, Ark.
May 15, 1881. Received by letter: Bro. Charles Witherspoon; children of
Bro. A. S. Parker and Sister Sallie Parker ;received by Baptism; Maria Belle
Parker, James Woodruf Parker and Sanders Uwell Parker.
June 19, 1881. Received by letter: J. B.Elder and sister Laurenia Elder.

Sept. 18, 1881. Report of Presbutery that met at Italy Aug. 26, 1881.
Sermon preached by Rev. A. S. Hayter with prayer offered by Rev. John
Collier. Rev. I. S. Davenport chosen Mod. by acclimation. Rev.
S. E. Kennon received by letter; two newly organized congregations
were taken under the care of the Presbytery - Raymon and Caddo Grove. Wm.
Clark, W. W. Werner and T. J. Redd candidatees for the mnistry.
Oct. 16, 1881. Infant son of Bro. and Sister J. B. Elder, James Walter
Elder, was baptised. Sister Annie Mayfield received by letter.
Dec. 18, 1881. Sister Julia Powers received by letter.
March 19, 1882. Members received: Sisters M. A. Mayfield and M.
A. McCleland.
