Bradley
Bradley was established in 1855. Some 26 years later, in 1881, the
county line was moved east and the school and settlement became part of Johnson
County. In 1900, the school had eighty-seven pupils with one teacher,
but by 1905 had been consolidated with nearby schools. That year Bradley
was a switch on the International and Great Northern Railroad. In the
1930s and 1940s, the community reported a population of twenty-five, with
one business. A church and school served area residents in 1940, but
the community was abandoned sometime after the 1940s.
