Griffith Switch
Griffith was named for early settler, J. W. Griffith. It is located
on FM Road 2258, on the Johnson County line. When the International
and Great Northern Railroad came through the county and laid a spur track
to Griffith in 1903, the name became Griffith Switch. The community
served as a cattle shippiing point.
