Loli, Texas
Loli was located on a plot of land between Ennis and Oak Grove. These
three communities were so close together that it was hard for me to distinguish
just where one stopped and the other began. Leolia Sellers gave the
plot for community purposes. A school house was built which served
as the educational center and the church. The school had a number of
good teachers, but the one best remembered was W. M. Tidwell, who taught
in 1900. His dignified bearing was that of a judge, which he later
became. The school building was moved to Central High area when schools
consolidated and used as a teacherage. Later it was destroyed by
fire.
