Ent Conf Ser. March 1861 Pvt Co A 9th Ala Inf; at 1st Battle Manassas,
Williamsburg, Seven Pines (2 days fight), seven days around Richmond; wounded
at Richmond; taken prisoner Nov 1863 Decatur, Ga; released April 1865, Fort
Delaware; paroled at Nachez, Miss, May 1865. Was discharged after Seven Days
around Richmond on account of wound received in said battle. Afterwards in
January 1863 I enlisted in Co I, Major Falconet's Battn, Ala Cav., and
served until captured at Decatur, Ga.
