Resolution of Respect

"We your Committee on the death of Comrade G. W. L. Perry killed in Dallas Texas Sept 4, 1911 submit the following report. Comrade Perry enlisted in Crofts Georgia Artillery Nov 1862 and was discharged at Meridian Miss in May 1865.  He was born in Randolph County Alabama Nov. 17, 1844 - and married a Miss Morris in Talaposa County , Alabama & came to Texas in 1897 - when his wife died leaving seven children.  He then married a Miss [Wall?] in Ellis County Texas by whom he had four children. He was a good farmer a hard worker & good neighbor, kind husband and was a regular attendant at the meetings of our Camp -- All of which is respectfully submitted"
