Farmer Ends Life By Jumping In Well
A. B. ELLISON OF THE ITALY COUNTRY IS SUPPOSED TO HAVE SUICIDED
A Brother Is Said to Have Attempted to Prevent Him But Was Fought Off
Body Is Recovered
After fighting off his brother who tried to prevent him, A. B. Ellison,
a farmer living about one mile north of Italy, jumped into a cistern on the
back gallery at his home about five o'clock Tuesday afternoon and when the
body was recovered life was extinct.
The cause of the act has not been determined. Ellison apparently was in
good health. He was in Italy a few hours Tuesday afternoon before
he attempted to leap into the cistern. A brother tried to prevent him and
was fought off. Before other assistance could be summoned the man [can't
read this section] and drowned before he could be rescued.
