Henry T. Eubanks Dies Very Suddenly
WAS RECUPERATING FROM BROKEN LEG AT WAXAHACHIE SANITARIUM
Expired Without a Word or Sign Indicating that the End Was Near, Inmates
of Ward Not Aware
Henry T. Eubanks, who had been confined to his bed at the Waxahachie
Sanitarium with a badly fractured leg, died very suddenly Friday afternoon
at 4 o'clock. His death came so suddenly that even the inmates of the same
ward were not aware of it for some minutes. He was apparently well until
the last moment. Mr. Eubanks was injured in a runaway accident at the local
pump station of the Magnolia pipe line when a length of heavy pipe was dragged
against him and broke both bones in one of his legs.
After being removed to the sanitarium and receiving treatment he appeared
to be getting along nicely and by his cheerful mood and conversation became
a favorite among the inmates. He was loud in his praise of the sanitarium
and took occasion to express his appreciation of the service rendered. His
death comes as a complete shock to his near friends here.
