Obituary Ed Harkey From Research Conducted at the Nicholas P. Sims Library, Waxahachie, Ellis County, Texas September 20, 2003 by Debbi Rodgers   Waxahachie Enterprise February 19, 1904 A Fatal Accident News was received here Monday of an unfortunate accident a few days ago about three miles northeast of Red Oak. Lewis Milam and Ed Harkey, two young men of that community, were out last Wednesday hunting rabbits. About 3 o'clock in the afternoon a target gun carried by Milam was accidentally discharged, the ball taking effect in young Harkey's back.
