Colonel N. Thomas
Waxahachie Enterprise - January 13, 1882
After an illness of several months, Colonel Thomas died Sunday night,
Jan. 8, 1882, in Waxahachie. He had not been in good health since last summer
when he was thrown from a runaway wagon.
He was a resident of Texas over 40 years - serving in the Congress during
the days of the Republic and representing Fayette, Austin and Washington
Counties in the 1866 Legislature. He moved to Waxahachie from Fayette County
in 1880.
His children, grown and married, live in south Texas but a son was with
him at his death.
