Virginia T. Walker

Mrs. Virginia T. Walker Dead
Mrs. Virginia T. Walker, 70, wife of Dr C. W. Walker, died Sunday
morning at 11 o'clock at the family home on Monroe street after a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from the
family home with interment at the city cemetery.
Mrs. Walker was born near Covington, Ga. Jan. 4, 1858 and married Dr.
Walker Nov. 7, 1861 at Vicksburg, Ala. They moved to Waxahachie in
November 1886, where they have since made their home. To this union
have been born ten children, seven of whom survive - five daughters and two
sons.
Virginia Walker accepted Christ in early girlhood while attending Lafayette
College and united with the Baptist church which she loved and cherished
until her death. She has lived a devoted, sincere christian life and
has at all times been submissive to the will of her Master. Her life
has been devoted in the service of her savior and to the well being of her
family.
