OBITUARY - Irene Carter - September 12, 1915
Daughter of Leroy (Buck) & Ara Carter Sunday night, Sept. 12, at 9:30 o'clock death visited our community, claiming Miss Irene Carter, age 14 years and 3 months. She suffered only 14 days with typhoid fever. The Lord saw her suffering and took her home. It is sad to give up the brightest jewels, but we cannot question the Father's goodness. Irene was a good, lovable girl, had been a member of the Baptist church for several years. Was a faithful Sunday school pupil, always at her place at church. Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Methodist church by Rev. Hughen. All that loving hands could do was done, and when God calls we must submit. Sympathizing relatives and friends and her Sunday school class followed as far as they could. We commend father and mother to God, who careth for all and bears our burdens. |
