I don't know if this is a Settlers Reunion or maybe a Civil War Vet Reunion, but it is a great picture made in Midlothian. If anyone can identify it, I'd love to know more about it. I thought maybe it was a Masonic gathering but was told that if that was true, there would be no women in it. You can see that each man has some sort of tag on his coat and by blowing up the picture, you can read some of the business signs in the windows. I believe my great grandfather John Woods Morris, a settler in Mt. Peak, is one of the men in the picture but I cannot say that for certain, only that it was in the Morris family photos. |
