This chuck wagon was jointly owned by Sam Reese and (I think) Roscoe Sullivan, who lived in the Long Branch community between Ovilla and Midlothian. Sam Reese was married to Norma Belew. They were my grandparents. |

The girl in this photo is my mother, Dorothy Reese, probably taken about 1925, on the farm of her parents, Sam and Norma (Belew) Reese. While probably every farm family in Ellis County slaughtered hogs, I am not sure how many of them thought posing a child in front of the dead animals was photogenic. <g> |
