John Thomas King II

John Thomas King II, born in 1888 in Ellis County. was the son of John
Thomas King I, and grandson of Pleasant Robert King and Martha Slay King,
of North Carolina.
John T. King II married Jessie Florence Wiles Jan. 31, 1914. They lived
at Avalon, Bynum and South Busque, Texas. and he worked as a bookkeeper and
gin manager.
Jessie Wiles King was the daughter of Jessie Franklin and Francis P. Springer
Wiles, born January 6, 1892 in Wister, Oklahoma, Choctaw Indian Territory
(now Leflore County).
Francis and Jessie Wiles came to Ellis County between 1900 and 1902 and
lived at Avalon. They are buried at Hughes Cemetery as are several of their
14 children - others are buried at Italy. Eight children were
born in Boone County, Arkansas, (Choctow Indian Territory) and the last
six at Avalon and Italy. They were:

Minnie Beulah, m/1 L. B. Ward, m/2 Franklin Bernard Naylor;
Oscar Martin, m/1 Lorena Wilomenia Ellender, m/2 Hazel Lorretta Snider;
James Otto, m. Willie Oma Posey;
Lillian Juanita, m. Charles Ewing Hickox;
Ruth Virginia m Brucher William Wilson
