Harp Cemetery

Background: The Harp ghost town had a post office that was established July 31, 1899 by William T. Rooney, postmaster and discontinued in Aug 15, 1907 with Pinkney H. Vinson as postmaster. Mail was rerouted to Winkler afterwards. The Harp community also had a school here.

Directions: Located 6.1 miles E of Winkler on dirt road south of FM 416 near current TCWCID Office gates. From Fairfield go north on 488. Take a left going west on 416. Take a left after a short distance onto 433. Harp cemetery is at the closest point of the road on the south side towards Tehuacana Creek.
