Location: This cemetery is near the Plum Creek community across the road from
Brown Chapel A.M.E. Church.
Directions #1: From Hwy 75, take farm road 489 East and go about 9 miles and it
is on the right.
Directions #2: From Hwy 84 take 489 West and go 6.7 miles and it is on the left.
Background: Brown Chapel Church began as a log cabin school/church building on
John L. Johnson's land about a mile from the present site. Gabe Brown donated
the present site of the cemetery and church land. This cemetery has been used by
both Anglos and Africian Americans.
