NOTES: John Milton Boatman: was also known as "Jack" He had two sons by first wife-Ida Boatman His second wife (Ida Gilbreath Patterson) was a widow with a daughter and son. The son died shortly after their marriage. They then had 8 children - 5 sons & 3 daughters. His third wife = Josie Newman Lunsford - was a widow with two daughters. "Jack" owned a farm for many years near Teague and also ran a business in the town of Teague before moving his family to Waco where he owned & operated a business. At age 67, he died from a self-inflicted gunshot and is buried in Dew, TX next to his 2nd wife - Ida Gilbreath Patterson. |
