Bennie Hawes
Graveside services were held Saturday, January 9, 1993, at the Fairfield Cemetery for Bennie Hawes, 78, of Mineola who died Thursday, January 7, at Tyler, Tx.
Mrs. Hawes was born September 11, 1914, in Fairfield and was a retired day care center director. She was a member of the OES Chapter No. 711 in Pasadena, Tx. and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Fairfield.
Services were conducted at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Stanley Vodica officiating.
Mrs. Hawes is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Gumm of Houston; two sons, Van Hawes of Mimeola and Don Hawes of Kingwood; four step-daughters, Janice Daniel and Paulette Bing, both of Buffalo, Tx., Sheila Richards of Cayuga and Patricia Egbert of Palestine; four brothers, Joe Ed Eubank of Dew, J. A. "Dick" Eubank of Maude, Kenneth Eubank of Mineola and Lester Eubank of Ruidosa, N. Mex.; a sister, Mary Kitchens of Fairfield; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were made by Capps Funeral Chapel of Fairfield.
