Grampa A G Stovall fell off the porch at the home of his son, Charlie Stovall, in our city, Monday night and is confined to his bed....

Mrs Earl Hendrix and daughter, Mary Beth Athens, are with friends here, guests of her parents, Mr & Mrs W H York, attending services at the Baptist church.

Mr & Mrs M T Cole and family moved into the S D Todd residence last Tuesday.  Mr & Mrs Marcos Hendrix now occupy the cottage they vacated.

Bosser Barfield, one of our former boys, now of Shreveport, was greeting friends here last week, he is at the home of Mr and Mrs B F Phillips.  Quite a nice looking young man. Welcome home Bosser.

Messrs. Clinton Moore and Otho Beamer motored to Winona Saturday morning for a truck load of shingles....

Miss Velma Loyd is visiting with Misses Smith near Friendship.

It was a great privilege through the kindness of our brother, L J Everett, to attend Sunday school Sunday....In the absence of the regular teacher, Mrs L A Rodden, Mr Everett very capably taught the Adult Bible Class..

Miss Neal Victory is visiting with her aunt, Mrs Tom Hopkins and family at Grand Saline.

Mrs Clyde McLean and daughters, Mary Lou and Maxine of Marshall are guests of her parents, Mr & Mrs J T Jeter.

The Parent-Teachers Association met Friday in the home of Mrs L J Everett with a fairly good attendance...the president, Mrs Rodden, being absent, Miss Thelma Jackson presided, reading a selection from the minutes; Mrs Brazzil read a paper, Mrs Everett furnished music; Miss Lorene Moonday, a paper; Mrs Grover Dunnaway an instrumental solo; Mrs Ardis Phillips, reading "The Village Sewing Society"; Miss Bess Jeter, a paper; Miss Lola Jackson, a paper; Miss Fay Norton a paper.....Mrs Phillips graciously favored the company with beautiful instrumental music.
