Athens Weekly Review Thursday, June 17, 1937 Heart Attack Proves Fatal To A. B. Cranford A. B. Cranford, 66, died at the home of his mother-in-law, Mrs. A. W. Bass, on the old Palestine highway at 6:45 a.m. Thursday. Death was due to a heart which he suffered Tuesday. His death, however, came very suddenly Thursday morning. Funeral services were held at the Christian Church Friday morning at 10:30 with burial following at the City cemetery. Rev. Bruce Banks, Christian pastor, conducted the service. Born in Mississippi, deceased had been a resident of Texas for many years. He is survived by one son, O. A. Cranford of Houston and a daughter, Mrs. W. A. Hopson, of Monnette, Mo.; and one sister, Mrs. Roxie Adair. He is survived by the following grandchildren: W. A. Hopson, Jr., Edward Bennett Hopson, Seaborn Oran Hopson, Verda Hopson, Mrs. Richard Brooks, Worchester, Mass.; Lois Ada Cranford and Oran Albert Cranford, Jr. Carroll-Lehr are in charge of funeral arrangements. Pallbearers were Bradshaw Willingham, Henry Meredith, A. W. Sanders, C. A. Spencer, Jim Haynes and Don Dickerson. This article is typed as written. Fran Adair Bethea
