Bessie Lee Stone

Services for Bessie Lee Stone, 97, of Athens are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday in Foster & Brown Chapel with the Rev. Travis Fulton officiating.

Burial will be in Athens Cemetery, under the direction of Foster & Brown Funeral Home.

Mrs. Stone died April 5, 2003, in Athens.

She was born April 15, 1905, to Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Powers in Texas. She was a homemaker by profession and a member of the Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Douglas Stone, in 1988; and a daughter, Eloise Daniel, in 1991.

Survivors include daughter, Faye Stone of Athens; three grandchildren, Chad Daniel, Ashley Daniel and Paula Daniel; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
