Henry Clay Wilson Services for Henry Clay Wilson, 89, of Athens were held at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Stephen's Anglican Church with Father Steven Strawn officiating. Burial followed at Athens Cemetery under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home of Athens. Mr. Wilson died Jan. 17, 2003, in Athens. He was born May 9, 1913, in Frost. Mr. Wilson previously lived in Houston for 42 years and in Paris for three years before moving to Athens in 1982. He was an electronics expert and taught in the Technology Department at Sam Houston High School in Houston and at the University of Houston. He was a Morse Code expert and, during World War II, taught pre-radar electronics and the Morse Code to the U.S. Navy. He was an excellent Ham Radio operator. Mr. Wilson's teaching career in electronics spanned 35 years. He was a member of St. Stephen's Anglican Church.
