Harry Newton Scott Services for Harry Newton Scott, 68, of Dallas and formerly of Athens are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Tucker officiating. Burial will follow at Athens Cemetery under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home of Athens. Mr. Scott died Feb. 3, 2003, in Dallas. He was born Nov. 4, 1934, in Dallas to Harry Elmo and Sara Dorbandt Scott. Mr. Scott was grew up in Athens and lived in Dallas since 1963. He attended Baylor University and was a graduate of East Texas State University in Commerce. He was a commercial real estate broker in Dallas for 35 years. He was a 2nd Lt. in the U.S. Army Medical Corps and was a member of St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, where he served as an usher. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Scott of Dallas; sons, Harry Newton Scott Jr. of Austin and Dolph Dorbandt Scott of Los Angeles, Calif.; sister, Sara Scott Cox of Athens; stepson, Ben Barker of Killeen; stepdaughter, Celisa Zeober of Austin; four stepgrandchidlren; and three nieces. Pallbearers will be Jack Bateman, Merwyn Pickle, Bruce Dingler, Max Rucker, Clark Fincher and Mike VanDeven.
