Athens Weekly Review April 26, 1901 A Good Man Gone Died at his home in Athens Sunday, April 21, 1901, at 12:45 a.m., L. N. Foster, tax collector of Henderson county. He had been in bad health a long time. Mr. Foster was born in Polk county in September, 1859. His mother resided in Burleson county awhile. He came to Henderson county in 1867. His father died before he was born. His older brother T. J. Foster, of Barry, Texas raised him. He was serving his third term as tax collector of this county. He was very popular with the people, and everybody says Louis Foster was a good and honest man. No higher encomium could be pronounced upon him. He was buried at the Athens cemetery, Rev. L. M.
