Opal DeHart

Services for Opal DeHart, 88, of Athens are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harold Davis officiating.

Burial will follow at Athens Cemetery under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home of Athens.

Mrs. DeHart died Sept. 10, 2002, in Athens.

She was born Dec. 22, 1913, to O.M. and Emily Vaughn.

She was a resident of Athens since 1950. She was a Baptist and a dedicated wife and mother.

Mrs. DeHart was preceded in death by her husband, Harry DeHart, on Oct. 13, 1998; her parents; one sister; and brothers.

Survivors include her daughter, Margaret DeHart of Athens; and five nephews and nieces.

Pallbearers will be C.A. Hawn, Ronnie McElroy, Bill Monds, Robert Bush, Donnie Rogers and Jerry Phillips.

Honorary pallbearer will be Dr. N.D. Geddie Jr.

Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
