Patty Loper Webster Memorial services for Patty Loper Webster, 88, of Athens are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church Athens with Dr. Kyle Henderson officiating. Private burial will follow at Athens Cemetery under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home of Athens. Mrs. Webster died July 18, 2004, in Athens. She was born Oct. 1, 1915, in Henderson County to Lonnie and Effie Loper. Mrs. Webster was reared in Athens, lived in Houston for 20 years and moved back to Athens in 1982. She was a retired secretary, having served as secretary of First Baptist Church for a number of years. Preceding her in death were her husband, Dan Webster, in 1968; her parents; and brother, L.C. Loper. Survivors include her sons, James Daniel Webster of Athens and Ronnie Carl Webster; sister, Janice Welmaker of Longview; four grandchildren, Bart Webster, Alicia Smith, Mary McNeil and John Webster; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
