Athens Weekly Review Thursday, January 18, 1923 Memorial Since God, in His wise providence has seen fit to call our beloved friend, Samuel E. Adams from his earthly home, to that home above, not made with hands, eternal in the Heavens, to receive his rich reward. His life was an exemplification of a true christian, he was self denying, and self sacrificing for the benefit of others. He was sincere, true and steadfast in his friendship-ever kind, hospitable, amiable and generous. He spake no evil of anyone, and his hands and heart were ever ready to do a good act to others. In early life he joined the Methodist church to which faith he was a true believer. His kind and gentle bearing disarmed enmity; none knew him but to love him. He died leaving no unkind feeling of anyone towards himself. He lived to be eighteen years old, October 19, 1922, coming to his grave at an early age like an unripened sheaf of corn in its season. Amid the grief of the beloved relatives and friends, his pure spirit winged its flights to the realm where there is no more sorrow, pain or sin and no more death. By the fountain of living waters and under the shade of the tree of eternal life may his soul rest forever. A FRIEND Samuel E.
