Sally Hawn Sparkman

Memorial services for Sally Hawn Sparkman, 47, of Athens are scheduled for 12 p.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church Athens with the Rev. Joe Warren officiating.

Private interment will follow at Athens Cemetery under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home of Athens.

Mrs. Sparkman died May 19, 2004.

She was born Dec. 25, 1956, in Fort Worth. She was a graduate of Highland Park High School in Dallas and attended Brookhaven Community College. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Athens and was a home school teacher, having graduated two of her children from high school. Sally devoted her life to her family, friends and church. Service above self defined her life. She was an avid outdoorsman.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Arthur Hawn Jr.; and brother, Paul Michael Hawn.

Survivors include her husband, Stephen R. Sparkman of Athens; son, Stephen Paul Sparkman of Athens; daughters, Adrienne Jean Sparkman and Audrey Ann Sparkman, both of Athens; and mother, Audrey Hawn of Dallas.

Family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
