Victor S. Gill

Victor S. Gill, 89, of Athens, passed away Saturday, Aug. 11, 2001, in Athens. 

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Foster & Brown Funeral Home in Athens.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Saint Stephen's Anglican Church in Athens. Interment will be at Athens City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Timmy Gill, Matt Gill, Ken Blythe, Steve Blythe, Paul Gill, Mike Gill and Vic Gill.

Mr. Gill was born March 8, 1912, in Wedsbury, England, to Samuel and Hanna Timmins Gill. He was a retired machinist and was head of maintenance for T.P. & L. He was a lifelong resident of Henderson County.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Claralene H. Gill and one great great grandchild.

He is survived by two sons, Phillip Gill of Argile and Kenneth Gill of Athens; daughter, Dorothy Blythe of Lewisville; sister, Margaret Stanley of Overland Park, Kan.; 13 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
