Cedar Creek Pilot Dan Gregory Dan Gregory, known to many as either Danny or Papa, died in Tomball, Texas, at the age of 55. He has been a resident of Waller, Texas, for the past two years, formerly of Houston. He was born Dec. 20, 1946, in Edna, Texas. He worked as an electrician for many years. He was of Protestant faith. He married Phyllis Elayne Aday July 4, 1982, in Houston. He served as a veteran in the Coast Guard. Services were held at Tomlinson Funeral Home Chapel in Malakoff at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, 2002, with Bro. Ray Sparks officiating. District No. 30 VFW Honor Guard rendered honors at the graveside at Guthrie Cemetery in Seven Points. Donations may be made to the Gregory Family c/o Tomlinson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 2050, Malakoff, TX 75148, in Mr. Gregory's memory. He was preceded in death by parents, Cecil Gregory and Dorothy Mae Austin; sister, Margie Fruge; sons, Roy Lee Collinsworth and Thomas Ray Collinsworth. Survivors include wife of 20 years, Phyllis Gregory of Waller; daughters, Leona Cummings of Buffalo, Texas, Melissa Mae Collinsworth of Waller; sister, Ginger Garcia of Porter; grandchildren, Shaun, Michael, Tommy, Justin, Weston and Jennifer. Arrangements were under the directio of Tomlinson Funeral Home of Malakoff.
