Johnny Ray Murrey
Services for Johnny Ray Murrey, 32, of Kemp were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Tomlinson Funeral Home Chapel in Seven Points with the Rev. Todd Peavy.
Burial will follow at Guthrie Cemetery in Styx under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home of Seven Points.
Mr. Murrey died March 6, 2000, in Dallas.
He was born Aug. 25, 1967, in Kaufman to John Thomas and Judy Murrey.
Mr. Murrey was a lifelong resident of this area. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1998; and grandfather, Hiram Tanner, in 1990.
Mr. Murrey is survived by his wife, Michelle Murrey of Mabank; mother, Judy Murrey of Kemp; sons, John H. Murrey of Peeltown and Daniel Murrey of Peeltown; sister, Cindy Badgett of Kemp; brother, Jesse Murrey of Kemp; grandparents, Kathryn Tanner of Kemp and John and Betty Murrey of Kaufman; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
