Carroll Duane Zeiger Services for Carroll Duane Zeiger, 78, of Trinidad are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday at the Cedar Creek Lake United Methodist Church in Tool with the Rev. Michael Caldwell officiating. Burial will be in the Mankin Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home of Mabank. Mr. Zeiger died March 18, 1999, in Trinidad. He was born June 24, 1920, in Chanute, Kan., to Floyd and Edith Mae Smith Zeiger. Previously of California, he had lived in Trinidad for 25 years and was a member of the Cedar Creek Lake United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge and the Ham Radio Club. He retired from the Greyhound Bus Company after 18 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Zeiger, in 1999. Mr. Zeiger is survived by his son, Terry Zeiger of Cannon Falls, Minn.; daughters, Gail Myers of Trinidad and Nancy Carroll Shelby of Crestline, Calif.; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and a host of friends. Pallbearers will be Lowell Palh, Mel Christensen, James Green, Ron Kincey, Hal Hanson and A.J. Phillips. Honorary pallbearers are Ray Hennington, O.L. Dove and Gene Atkins. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
