Mickey Simmons
Services for Mickey Simmons of Trinidad were held 2 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church in Malakoff, with the Rev. Charles Kimble officiating.
Burial was in Mankin Cemetery in Trinidad, under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home in Malakoff.
Mr. Simmons died May 23, 2003, in Athens.
He retired from the U.S. Navy as a senior petty officer after 32 years of service. He also retired from the U.S. Postal Service.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Callie Simmons of Trinidad; three daughters, Cynthia Whisennand of Dallas, Bethany Worley of Corsicana, and Karin Lucas of Red Oak; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
