Vera Lee Crawford

Gravesides services for Vera Lee Crawford, 87, of Athens are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mankin Cemetery with the Rev. James Starks officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Foster & Brown Funeral Home of Athens.

Mrs. Crawford passed away Nov. 30, 2002, in Tyler.

She was born the daughter of William S. Richards and Lula Bell Ball Richards on Nov. 9, 1915, in Temple.

Mrs. Crawford was a housewife and homemaker by profession. She was a very unusual lady and she loved Kentucky Fried Chicken.

She was preceded in death by her son, James Allen Kelly, on July 4, 1990; her mother and father; five sisters; and one brother, Kellie Gibson, in 1992.

Survivors include her husband, Harry E. 'Billy' Crawford of Athens; daughters and son-in-law, Peggy and Ken Warren of Quinlin and Lila Goodwin of Eddye; sons and daughters-in-law, Rondie and Giffatine Kelley of Mabank, Orville and Madalyn Kelley of Temple; stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Louise and Paul Houser of Lancaster; sister, Etta Thompson of Temple; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
