ISAAC D. STARKES 1910 - 1993
Services for Isaac David Starkes, 83, Tri Cities, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at the Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home
chapel in Athens with Rev. F. R. Burns and Rev. Johnny Allen officiating. Burial will be in the Post Oak Cemetery in
Henderson Co.
Mr. Starkes died Thursday, November 11, 1993, at the East Texas Medical Center, Athens, after a long illness. He was
born February 1, 1910, in Modoc to Christopher Columbus and Mattie (Baker) Starkes. He was a retired farmer and formerly
employed by Malakoff Clay Products. He married Ida Lorene Dosser on May 9, 1932, at Jackson Chapel.
He was preceeded in death by a son, Kenneth "Bo" Starkes in 1983 and a daughter- in-law, Euna B. Starkes in 1987.
Survivors include his wife, Lorena (Dosser) Starkes of Tri Cities: three sons and two daughters-in-law: James and Shirley
Starkes of Tri Cities, Charles Starkes of LaRue, Billy Wayne Starkes of Lufkin and Loyce Ann Starkes of Malakoff: three
daughters and sons-in-law; LaVerne and Billy Wayne Tapley of Athens, Dorothy and Donald Tapley of Trinidad and Barbara
and Dale Holder of Tri Cities: eleven grandchildren; Debbie Warson, Donna Pierce, Paula Starkes, Bubba Tapley, Kathy
Starkes, Leise Templin, Douglas Tapley, Scott Starkes, Donna Weaver, Donnie Berdice and William Holder, and nine
great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Doe Dosser, Pet Dosser, Calvin Wilson, Charles Mathis, James Starkes and Bill Starkes. Honorary pallbearers
are Dr. Richard T. David, Harry Dosser, Doc Dosser, Jim Dosser and Ervin Starkes. The family will receive friends at the funeral
home from 6 - 8 p.m. Friday.

IDA LORENE STARKES 1916 - 1999
Services for Ida Lorene (Dosser) Starkes, 82, of Athens, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday in Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home Chapel
with Rev. Thom Taylor and Rev. Ron Huckabee officiating. Burial will be in the Post Oak Cemetery.
Mrs. Strokes died March 12, 1999 in East Texas Medical Center, Athens. She was born April 7, 1916, in Kerens to the late Walter
Jackson and Clara Clay (Hinton) Dosser. Mrs. Starkes was resident of Tri Cities most of her like and was a member of the Assembly of
God Church.
Mrs. Starkes was preceeded in death by her husband, I. D. Starkes; son, Kenneth Starkes; daughter-in-law, Euna B. Starkes; son-in-law,
Billy Wayne Tapley and granddaughter, Diane Tapley.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law: Charles Starkes from the New York Community, James and Kay Starkes of Tri Cities, Billy
Wayne Starkes of Lufkin and Loyce Starkes of Malakoff; daughters and sons-in-law: LaVerne Tapley of Athens, Dorothy and Donald
Tapley of Trinidad, Barbara & Dale Holder of Tri Cities; sister, Juanita Riddlesperger of Malakoff; brothers, W. J. Dosser of Bastrop, LA,
Troy Lee "Doc" Dosser and Jim Dosser both of Tri Cities; 11 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren..
Pallbearers include William Holder, Donald Tapley, Donny Berdice, Joey Webb, Jessie Webb, Douglas Tapley, Josh Watson and Daniel Pierce.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home 5-7 p.m. Saturday.

Kenneth "Bo" Starkes
Funeral Services fo Kenneth Gerald "Bo" Starkes, 36, of Malakoff were held at 2 p. m. Monday at Callaway Funeral Home Chapel in
Malakoff. Burial was in Post Oak Cemetery near Malakoff.
Mr. Starkes died Sunday, August 21, 1983, in a Corsicana hospital. He was an oilfield driller.
Survivors include his wife, Loyce Fitzgerald Starkes of Malakoff; three brothers, Charles Starkes of the New York Community, James
Starkes of Tri Cities and Billy Wayne Starkes of Lufkin; three sisters, Mrs. LaVerne Tapley of Athens, Mrs. Dorothy Tapley of Trinidad,
Mrs. Barbara Holder of Tri Cities: his parents; Isaac David and Ida Lorene (Dosser) Starkes of Tri Cities.

Troy "Doc" Dosser 1927 - 1999
Services for Troy Lee "Doc" Dosser, 72, of Athens are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at Eubank Memorial Chapel in Mabank with
the Rev. John Kendall officiating. Burial will be at Post Oak Cemetery in Henderson County under the direction of Eubank Funeral
Home.
Mr. Dosser died April 28, 1999 in Dallas following a short illness. He was born April 7, 1927, in Kerens to Walter Jackson and Clara Clay
(Hinton) Dosser and was a lifetime resident of Athens. He was a member of the First Love Fellowship Church in Gun Barrel City and
retired in 1989 from Maxwell-Herrington in Tyler. Mr. Dosser was a veteran of the U.S. Navy in which he served during World War II.
He was preceded in death by brother, Aaron Dosser, and sister, Lorene Starkes.
Mr. Dosser is survived by his wife, Kathy Dosser of Athens; daughter, Pamela McClintock of Athens; son, Troy D. Dosser of Athens;
sister, Juanita Riddlesperger of Malakoff; brothers, Judd Dosser of Basstrop, LA, and Jimmy Dosser of Athens; other family members
and a host of friends.
Pallbrarers will be Michael Rutledge, William T. Thompson Jr, Hodge Boyd, Doyl Loden, Bobby Rylant and Joe Dwight.
Honorary pallbearers are J. R. Gross, Al Coe and Darrell Green.

Martha Lewis 1936 - 1986
Martha Nell (Wright) Kilcrease Lewis, 50, of Malakoff, died Tuesday, June 17, 1986, at Medical City Hospital in Tyler. Services were
held on Wednesday at the Church of Christ in Malakoff. Burial followed at Post Oak Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, J. L. "Peanut" Lewis of Malakoff: two sons, Burt Kilcrease of Kerens and Kenney Kilcrease of Athens;
three stepsons, Robby Lewis of Athens, Mickey Lewis of Crockett and Bobby Lewis of Irving: two stepdaughters , Kay Seamayor of
DeSota and Pat Kuhn of Houston; her father, Johnny Wright of Kerens and four grand-children.

James L. Lewis 1917 - 1988
James Lester "Peanut" Lewis, 71, of Malakoff, died November 7, 1988. He taught school for 32 years prior to his retirement, and was
a rancher and cattleman. He was born September 28, 1917. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church of
Malakoff with the Rev.Mike Toland officiating. Burial will be in the Post Oak Cemetery. Paschal Funeral Home is in charge of
arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby L. Lewis of Malakoff; three sons, Robby Lewis of Malakoff, Bobby Lewis of Irving, and Mickey Lewis
of Crockett; two daughters, Pat Kuhn of Houston and Kay Seamayer of Duncanville; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren;
and two sisters, Letha Moore and Gedyce Roberds, both of Malakoff.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
