Obituary
----------
Mrs. Era Gladys Pritchett
----------
Saturday morning when the word
went out in our community that Mrs. J. H. Pritchett was
dead, the entire town was overshadowed with sorrow and
sadness for the bereaved family.
Mrs. Pritchett was born in Ellis County, near Waxahachie,
Oct. 26, 1907 and died Aug. 15, 1931, age 23 years, 9
months and 20 days. She was united in marriage to J. H.
Pritchett Jan. 29, 1924 and to this union 3 children were
born two girls and one boy. She united with the Methodist
Church with her husband in 1929 and lived a Christian
life to the end.
To Her Memory
Her life and love and mothers care
Will linger with us ever;
There are cords of love which
bind our hearts,
That death can never sever.
She is not gone forever, but before,
to that wonderful land of peace
Where Angels play the whole
day long
and our worries and troubles
cease.
There flowers bloom and strange
birds
sing, and golden is the strand;
There's no pain, nor toll, nor
death,
in that Eternal land.
Funeral services were conducted at the Malakoff Cemetery
Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock by her pastor, Rev. Mr.
Hall of Trinidad.
She leaves to mourn her departure, her husband, a father
and mother, three children, two sisters, two brothers,
one half brother and three half sisters.
