Funeral Services For Mrs. J. S. Morrison Held At Cross Roads.

Funeral services for Mrs. J. S. Morrison, who passed away at the family home in the Cross Roads community at 3 o'clock Fri. afternoon were held from the Baptist Church at Cross Roads at 11 o'clock Sat. morning, July 4th conducted by the Rev. Wallace Clark, pastor of the Baptist Church of this city.

Following the funeral services the remains, followed by a large concourse of relatives and loving friends, were carried thence to the cemetery at Union where they wee tenderly laid to rest to await the resurrection morn.

Mrs. Morrison, at the time of her death, was 67 years of age facing only three years of living her allotted time of 3 score years and ten. For the past two years her health had been broken and continued illness confined her to her bed the greater part of the time. Her condition for some time past had been serious and all that human hands could do proved of no avail. Death came as the only relief.

The deceased is survived by her husband and eight children; five sons and three daughters. They are: T. H. Morrison, Cross Roads; G. G. of Houston, L. C. of Troupe, A. R. of Dallas, D. E. of this city, Mrs. John Fuller, and Mrs. Leslie Ross of Dallas and Mrs. C. C. Willingham of Cross Roads. One brother, C. C. Dunnam of Livingston also survives.
