Funeral Services for J.F. Ervin, twenty years a citizen of Frankston, were held in that city Tuesday morning at 10:00 o'clock with Rev. Gayer conducting the services. Interment following in the Frankston Cemetery. Mr. Ervin, 67, died at his home in Frankston at 9 o'clock Monday morning following an illness that lasted ten days. Surviving are his widow; two sons, R.R. and Angus, both of Frankston; four daughters, Mrs. Stella Fortenberry, Mrs. J.W. Williford and Mrs. J.F. Owens of Frankston and Mrs. B.M. Fisher of Franklin, La.; a brother, sister, two half brothers and three half sisters.


Mary Pinckard, 10, Buried Monday at Walnut Creek. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the Walnut Creek cemetery for Mary Alice Pinckard, 10, daugther of Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Pinckard, whose death occured Sunday. The services were conducted by Rev. C.A. West, pastor of the First Medodist church of Eustace. The child was born March 21, 1925.


L.E. Childress, 60, Buried Saturday at Rock Cemetery in Anderson County. The Rev. Tom Lunsford officiating, Mr. Childress died at his home in the Blackfoot community at 4:50 o'clock Friday morning at a Palestine hospital. Survivoring are two brothers, John Childress of Oakwood and G.C. Childress of Montalba; three sisters, Misses Effie and Zeffie Childress of Wellington and Mrs. Lula Sadler of Blackfoot.


Mrs. Emma McCool, 56, Buried Wednesday at Pine Grove Cemetery who died at her home in the Pine Grove community on Tuesday night following a long illnesss with pellagra, were held Wednesday afternoon at the Davis cemetery, where interment followed. The deceased was the widow of the late Ras McCool of the Pine Grove area. She had been in ill health for a number of years. Mrs. McCool had spent her entire life in East Texas, having been born in Anderson county on December 19, 1880. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Newt McCool of Pine Grove and two children.

Mrs. Edna Graham, 29, died at her home 4 miles north of Montalba Tuesday at 3:40 a.m. from meningitis. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Rock Church, with the Rev. Calvin Nelson, Baptist clergyman, officating. Mrs. Graham is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Nix; husband Willie Graham; four young children, one sister and three brothers.

D. Gipson, 72, a longtime resident of Western Henderson County since 1892, died at his home near Willow Springs Monday morning at 6:00 o'clock, according to information received by friends here. Mr. Gipson was a native of Titus County. Funeral services were scheduled to be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock with interment following in the Willow Springs Cemetery. He is survived by two sons and four daughters. Mr. Gipson was well known herer for his interest in the annual fiddlers contests and reunion. He was an uncle to Charlie Miller and the father of Miss Opal Gipson who has participated annually in the contests.
