Chester Harris
Funeral services were held here Sunday for Chester Harris, 50, who died at his home on Route 2, Athens, after a brief illness.
The Rev. Estus Pirkle conducted the services.
Harris was born in the Fincastle community and had lived in Henderson County all his life. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife; four sons, James T. Harris of Port Morgan, Colo.; Nolan C. Harris of Shreveport, Doyle Harris and Enoch Harris of Athens; four brothers, Ed Harris of Kerens, Oscar Harris of Pasadena, Carl Harris of Corsicana and Claude Harris of Angleton; three sisters, Mis. Emma Lee Broyles of Dallas, Mrs. Rena Mae Davis of Hearne and Mrs. Clyde O'Bannon of Palestine, and eight grandchildren.

Enoch was a nephew but raised by Chester and Laura after the death of his mother.
