Joseph Cox Rites Held At Athens

Funeral services were held here for Joseph Cox 94, former
well-known farmer and stockman of Henderson County, who died in
Fort Worth.
He was born in St. Claire, Ill., and came to Henderson County
when he was a young man. Cox's Chapel was named in his honor.
Surviving are three sons, Gilmer C. Cox of Cleburne, John L. Cox
and James R. Cox, both of Fort Worth; a daughter, Mrs. Eva Jones
of Mabank, and twelve grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren
and four great-great-grandchildren.
NOTE: Death certificate shows born July 4 1856 and died Dec 11
1950 Shows fathers name Joseph Cox. Informant J. R. Cox.
