Beauchamp Services Wednesday
Joseph Beauchamp, 81, died in an Athens hospital at 12:50 p.m.,
Tuesday after a lengthy illness.
A resident of Malakoff most of his life, Mr. Beauchamp was a
retired farmer. He was a member of the Methodist church, and his
wife, Mrs. Hattie Beauchamp,
died in April, 1962.
Mr. Beauchamp is survived by two sons, Calvin Beauchamp of Dallas
and Cecil Beauchamp of Lancaster; two daughters, Mrs. Corrie
Kendall of Corsicana and
Mrs. Pearl Holloway of Athens; three sisters, Mrs. Sally
Robertson, Mrs. Ruth Cleveland and Mrs. Clifton Stallings, all of
Arp, and 21 grandchildren and 16
great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 4 p.m. in Hassell and
Foster Chapel with the Rev. E. T. Allen officiating, and burial
was in Malakoff City Cemetery.
Pallbearers were, M. L. Drake, D. H. Carson, Oscar Phillips Jr.,
Raymond Reese, Walter Jackson, and Richard Tanner.

Corrie Kendall. Joseph Beauchamp is not
listed in the cemetery books of Henderson County TX. Cemetery
Book 2 for AGO shows B. H. Beauchamp b. Aug 31, 1859 d. Jan 14,
1946 and Ruth l. Beauchamp
born Mar 5, 1862 died Jan 5, 1961. Death certificate for Hattie
Beauchamp shows Hattie Bell Beauchamp b. Mar 3, 1886 d. Apr 19,
1962 burial Malakoff City Cemetery.
She is also not listed in the cemetery books. Also found Velma
Grace Beauchamp-Dehart born May 19, 1926 died July 17, 1943
giving childbirth.
Death certificate shows Velma was daughter of Joseph and Hattie.The
son Cecil Beauchamp was my uncle. Laura
