Aged Confederate Died at Home in Brownsboro, Texas
Mr. Pal Price, aged 84 years and one of the best known
residents of the Brownsboro community, died at his home here
Tuesday. Mr. Price fell from a porch Monday and sustained a
broken hip, which together with his advanced age, was the cause
of his death.
Deceased was a Confederate soldier, making a fine record during
the war. One daughter, Mrs L. O. Green, besides his widow,
survives him.
Funeral services were held at Brownsboro, being largely attended
by friends from the surrounding countryside.
Note: There are two errors in this article. First, Pal lived for
three days after his fall, and second, he was survived by two
sons and six daughters in addition to his wife, Mary Frances
Lowery Price.
