Silas Nugent Dies Suddenly at His Home

Silas Nugent, for many years a resident of the Modoc Community died
suddenly Sunday night at his home. He had been a suffer form rheumatism,
but was in town Saturday trading and remarked to friends that he had
never felt better in his life. Sunday night he complained of feeling
badly. He went out on the porch and got a drink of water and died shortly
after returning to his room.

Murchison Merchant Dropped Dead Last Saturday Night

Sherman Martin, merchant of Murchison, dropped dead at his home in that
city Saturday night while sitting at home with his family. Death was due
to heart failure.
Mr. Martin was sitting in a chair when he suddenly slumped forward.
Funeral services were held Sunday with burial at Rock Hill.

Mrs. Willie B. Leopard Passes Away At Terrell

The body of Mrs. Willie B. Leopard, who died at Terrell Sunday, arrived
last night and was taken in charge by relatives. Burial rites were held
this afternoon at the Smith Graveyard. Rev. D. R. Cartlidge officiating.
The deceased was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Pierce. She is
survived by her parents and a number of brothers and sisters and her two
children, Dora and Mary Leopard.
