Caddo Mills - Hershell VanHoutain, 68, of Greenville died Sunday in Dallas. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Rentfrow Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. D.L. Barrow officiating. Burial is in Hall Cemetery in Lone Oak. He was born Oct 2, 1931 in Antlers, Okla. to Hershell VanHoutain and Ethel Edwards VanHoutain. He worked in maintenance. Mr. VanHoutain is survived by his wife, Ida Mae Vetters VanHoutain of Greenville; two brothers Perry Palmer of Como and Lee Roy Mercer of Alba and a sister, Berta Mae Moss of Lone Oak. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Willie Jack VanHoutain. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
