Alford - White

The First Baptist Church was the setting for the marriage of Jamie Renea Alford and Kenneth Bradley White on Friday, May 28, 1982, with Royce Slough officiating at the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Richard Lyday and Jim Alford. The bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. G. Kenneth White.

Given in marriage by James Alford and Beverly Lyday, the bride wore a gown of Chantilly lace and imported white organza with Queen Anne neckline. The bodice was covered with Chantilly lace and seed pearls and the bishop sleeves were of matching lace. The skirt overlay was edged in lace and the cathedral train was adorned with rows of Chantilly lace ruffles. Her walking-length veil was attached to a Juliet cap covered in lace and pearls, and she carried a cascading bouquet of while roses and baby's breath with satin streamers and lace trim.

Matron of honor was Barby Ann Stroud and maid of honor was Nannette Chambliss. Megan Giles was flower girl and Eric Slough was ring bearer.

Philip White served as best man, and Rickey Lyday was groomsman. Ushers were John Massey and Michael Pierce. Pat Rowell, Jeannie Snyder, and Jimmy Massey proved nuptial music and Rickey Lyday was soloist.

House party members were Dedra Dressel, Tammy Whitworth, Kim LaFavers, Cheryl Waters, and Felicia White.

A rehearsal dinner was held on Thursday evening at the First Baptist Church.

Following a wedding trip to Oklahoma, the couple will reside in Celeste. The bride is a 1981 gradate of Barbison Modeling School and is presently attending Celeste High School. White, a 1979 graduate of Celeste High, is employed by the State of Texas Highway Department.
