Thursday Club, Celeste Oldest
Celeste--"Ideas and Ideals" is the course of study this year for the Thursday Club. The group was organized in 1911 and federated in 1921.
Intellectual development and the promotion of civic pride are the objects of the club.
The group meets on alternating Thursdays at 3:00 PM from September through May. Membership is limited to twenty-five.
Officers are Mrs. Lem Warren, president; Mrs. Johnnie Stapleton, vice-president; Mrs. Earl Ray Hunter, recording secretary; Mrs. Ralph Harold Evans, corresponding secretary; Mrs. Lonnie Linton, treasurer; Mrs. George McGee, parliamentarian; Mrs. Charles Dupre, Sr., critic; Mrs. H.
