Wedding vows were exchanged on Friday evening, November 5, 1982, by Paula Kay Harrell and Ronald Wayne Lyon in the Celeste Church of Christ.
Leamon Keele officiated at the ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Paul K. Harrell and Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Lyon.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown with portrait neckline edged in a Chantilly lace ruffle. The fitted bodice was circle with satin ribbon, and the skirt was designed with three tiers of lace ruffles. She wore a small brim picture hat of Chantilly lace with silk flowers and pearls, and an attached
fingertip-length veil. Her blue and white Colonial bouquet was of carnations and roses.
Gloria LaFavers was matron of honor for her sister.
Best man was John H. Cawthon. Ushers were Larry Lyday and James LaFavers.
House party members included Dana Richards, Lisa Saye, Lou Ann Ethridge, Elaine Lyday, Dana Lyday, Nanette Chambliss, and Jan Cawthon.
Following a short wedding trip, the couple will reside in Celeste. The bride, a graduate of Celeste High School, is an employee of the Hunt County Tax Office. Lyon, also a Celeste High graduate, earned his BBA and MBA degrees at East Texas State University. He is an employee of Texas Steel in Arlington.
